I suddenly reeled back to the fields we
used to lie on, feeling the wind nuzzle
our cheeks. We would talk about our dreams
then-- where we would be in 10 years time.
That was before he went for the check up.
Red.
It was everywhere. The carpet. The window.
Our faces. The blood was mixed in with our
tears. We were young. We didn't know what
was happening until it was too late.
Blue.
That was the first thing we saw when we
ran out that door. Clear blue skies. And
for the first time since our dad was
alive, we smiled.
Yellow.
Her favourite colour. The colour of
daffidols, sunshine and for us, hope. But
soon after she mar
I stare at the stars in the sky
And wonder if I will have a place
Among them
Someday
Effortlessly lighting the sky
Heaven shines down every night
An eternal voice
A guiding hand
I wanna be just like you
Helping others make their dreams come true
But I can't help feeling scared
Of the regrets that await there
Up in the limitless sky
Where they shine, shine so bright
Who knows what the future holds
Of the beautiful stories to be told
I wanna be just like you
Helping others make their dreams come true
But do I have what it takes?
Especially with those towering stakes
I wanna be just like you
Brave enough to make dreams come
He masked her beauty with a black veil
As she stepped out into the night
Man's breath she did steal
For to them she was platinum white
An angel some say
A saviour, a guide
She shines on those drowned in grey
Those who ever lied
She dances across the sky
Ivory against dark ebony
Faint feathers flitter and fly
Sing a silent melody
Scattered flecks of chalk
Dot the charcoal board
She gently slows to a walk
And looks down
At the world she once adored
Her veil slips away
Gone with the wind
Out shone the first ray
His smile slowly thinned
Scattered voices sound
Then yield to the blares below
Invisible until re-found

"Many people walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart."
For all that time
We walked
Hand in hand
And now it's time for us to go separate ways
I remember those days
When laughter cured all
Not caring what he or she says
Crying at that little fall
We graduated together
Not once
But twice
I knew nothing could last forever
But when fate rolled that dice
The emptiness of loss hit me again
Gone was something I thought would never be gone
Another piece of my childhood fading away

She thought she saw tears on the page, but instead she saw ink.
Promising doors opened up before her, and roads of inspiration spread far and wide. The diamond stars blanketed the azure sky, all shadows exposed. A face of ivory white gazed down at her, following every step of the way. She was not alone, for voices spoke to her. They spoke of hopes and dreams, realizations and reality. They spoke of her life, the memories too precious to forget. She saw visions of kingdoms and princes, mages and knights, though they were not as alive as they had once been. A world full of wonder and magic where only she could reign.
Since years before, this

My friend shared this video to warn other artists about how she was taken advantage of, and I believe this is a very important message that every artist should hear.
I've lost count of how many times someone, be it a big corporation or an individual, have asked me to illustrate for them for free. It will always go something like this "You draw this for us, and we will include your name in the credits. That's good publicity for you!" as if such a pathetic offer holds any merit.
There was one specific case where a guy wanted to use my drawing as a book cover but didn't want to pay. He said he might print up to 50,000 books, so that's like an
I love poetry, writing... art as a whole. The world's pretty blessed to have things as beautiful as them around :P I can be pretty jealous at times, pretty mean at others. But as my name says, nobody's perfect and in a way I'm kind of glad.
